They had to change their name, not sure to what, because Jello is a registered trademark of LeRoy New York's claim to fame.

Green Jelly. And the trademark is owned by Kraft Foods. Owned by them via General Foods who bought the rights in the 1920's.

I was high school friends with the Kenmore contigent of that band! Kenmore West! They are still around, and play gigs occaisionally in Los Angeles. Bill Manspeaker, the "creator", invested his "one-hit" wonder money wisely, and currently owns/runs a very lucrative computer animaition company based in LA. I think they did one of Michael Jacksons' videos, about a decade ago...lots of music video stuff.

Funny as it may seem, Green Jelly (Jell-O) might be better off, financially, than MJ these days....there is some justice!

I had heard that there was a Buffalo connection with that band. How many members from the ol' town?

Last I knew, four of them were from Kenmore. They had a record out in Buffalo, and then moved to LA, where they hooked up with some of the guys from Tool, porn stars, and dozens of others...if you have never seen them, they are very theatrical...lots of folks on stage. Not the best musicians, but a lot of fun to see live. Sort of like GWAR!

They are Kenmorons at the their heart!
