BillsFanNC Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Come on...am I the only former WNYer in Raleigh behind The Hurricanes? 710485 Unfortunately you aren't. How could you turn your back on your hometown team? Is it only a matter of time before you become a Panthers fan if you aren't already?
JoeFerguson Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Unfortunately you aren't. How could you turn your back on your hometown team? Is it only a matter of time before you become a Panthers fan if you aren't already? 710491 AMEN.

Should be no excuses...the best team will win. 710485 WTF? There really isn't a nice way to say this so I will just say it. Screw you and the Canes.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 I hope Edmonton crushes them. 710525 Ditto. That game on Saturday was a thing of beauty. Hopefully that fukker Brind'amour never gets to put his filthy hands on Lord Stanley's cup.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 What a season! What a year!!! Come on...am I the only former WNYer in Raleigh behind The Hurricanes? Should be a dandy tonight. Should be no excuses...the best team will win. Should be no excuses, but if the WhinerCanes lose, there WILL be excuses. You can count on that.
Golden Wheels Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 I'm not rooting for the Hurricanes tonight, but it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with those rumors about Peter Laviolette drinking certain bodily fluids. Ahem.
Ramius Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 What a season! What a year!!! Come on...am I the only former WNYer in Raleigh behind The Hurricanes? Should be a dandy tonight. Should be no excuses...the best team will win. 710485 !@#$ Caro-whine-a. I hope edmonton puts a beatdown on them worse then game 6. Nothing would make me happier than to see recci and brindamour holding each other softly crying, with labia-lette whining in the backround.
eball Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 I've decided to use my tickets and go to the game tonight. I made some money on the Game 5 tickets, so these are essentially freebies. I'm going for two reasons -- I love hockey, and I'm excited that regardless of the outcome, I'll witness what I believe to be the greatest championship tradition in sports. I will be rooting for Edmonton. Maybe someday the Hurricanes will have a "true" fanbase that doesn't consist of transplanted northerners and bandwagon hillbillies. That is certainly not the case right now. The manufactured "hype" around here is embarrassing -- it's as if the local media have all been instructed to "remind" everyone that a hometown professional sports team is playing for a championship. Go Oilers.
UConn James Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 eball, that's awesome to be able to say you went to a Game 7. And yes, it's the best championship in sports. This is a brutal game. Imagine the Bills playing 2, 3, or 4 games per week for seven months. Whoever's left standing wins and gets their name forever engraved on one of the oldest trophies in sports. I'm just a little worried about the Edmonton fans chanting "WE... WANT... THE CUP!" on Saturday night. Seems exactly like the kind of thing the Hockey Gods say "No" to.
ACor58 Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 What a season! What a year!!! Come on...am I the only former WNYer in Raleigh behind The Hurricanes? Should be a dandy tonight. Should be no excuses...the best team will win. 710485 Sorry, but that city does not deserve a championship. Canes fans suck. Not too mention, I hope that 4 straight losses will put Laviolette out on his @ss.
BILLS4LIFE Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 The announcers made a comment that they dont know how to celebrate. I guess not since one of their dummy Cane players said the F word on Tv while holding the Cup. Whatever.
Typical TBD Guy Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 What a season! What a year!!! Come on...am I the only former WNYer in Raleigh behind The Hurricanes? Should be a dandy tonight. Should be a good one for you guys.
