Buffan00
Is Willis the "best" in the division? -Maybe.. Dillon is comming off a down year, and will be pushed by 1st round pick Laurence Maroney. He has alot to prove, and will eventually share carries. Martin is "trying to comeback better than ever" http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AstJ...ov=ap&type=lgns But ,at his age and comming off a major surgery, I doubt it. And then you have Miami's Ronnie Brown who almost had 1000 yds while splitting carries with Smokie Williams. It's his show this year and he is ranked in the top 12 players in Yahoo's top 100 http://fantasysports.yahoo.com/analysis/ne...gue=fantasy/nfl :Im still partial to Willis having a pro-bowl type year, because he's going to want BIG money next yearand our line CANT be any worse! What is everyone's thought on this??

Dibs
I just don't get it. Last year we... a) had no O-line. b) had no passing game c) had no heart as a team d) had no WM on third down e) had generally bad play calling f) had a disheartened WM etc, & WM still managed to rack up some decent stats. If we fix up a few of these things this year, how could WM not have a stellar season? His attitude & character might effect things too much but...how many thought his attitude was so terrible after 2004? I see no reason why he cannot(with the right tutiledge) recapture the drive he had to have to fight through rehab & play with passion again. Honestly, there are far fewer questions concerning WMs ability to be a top level starter than any other skills position player on the roster. Where does the negativity come from? Max997
just because the line cant be any worse doesnt mean it will be any better either best back in the AFC East...is this really what it has come down to, fans hoping Willis will be the best back in the 4 team division. We used to have high goals as fans, playoffs, winning the div and maybe getting home field advantage and now its can willis be the best back in the div

MartyBall4Buffalo
Would you trade Ronnie Brown for Willis MaGahee? Who would actually say no to that deal? 709807 I would. Ronnie Brown has never been a featue rb. He didnt hit 1000 yards last year and had 5 tds 4 rushing 1 receiving and 5 runs of 20+ yards. I'll compare it to willis's first year since that would be the fair thing to do and mcgahee has ronnie brown smoked. I like Brown but I wouldn't take him over McGahee, or Dillon, and I still would have to think about it when it comes to Curtis Martin.

MartyBall4Buffalo
true having the best rb in your division doesn't mean a spot in the playoffs howver having a good rushing offense definitly increases your chances Atlanta 16 531 33.2 2546 - no playoffs Denver 16 542 33.9 2539 - playoffs Seattle 16 519 32.4 2457 - superbowl runner up Kansas City 16 520 32.5 2382 - no playoffs Pittsburgh 16 549 34.3 2223 - superbowl champs New York (N) 16 469 29.3 2209- playoffs Washington 16 525 32.8 2183 - playoffs Chicago 16 488 30.5 2099 - playoffs San Diego 16 465 29.1 2072 - no playoffs Jacksonville 16 502 31.4 1959 - playoffs 7 out of the top 10 rushing offense made the playoffs compare this to the top 10 passing offenses Arizona 16 670 41.9 419 62.5 4437- no playoffs New England 16 564 35.2 352 62.4 4120 - playoffs Indianapolis 16 515 32.2 347 67.4 4096 - playoffs St. Louis 16 599 37.4 392 65.4 4036 - no playoffs Cincinnati 16 538 33.6 362 67.3 3820 - playoffs Kansas City 16 507 31.7 317 62.5 3810 - no playoffs Green Bay 16 626 39.1 383 61.2 3766 - no playoffs Philadelphia 16 620 38.8 337 54.4 3677 - no playoffs Tennessee 16 594 37.1 358 60.3 3597 - no playoffs Oakland 16 591 36.9 316 53.5 3582 - no playoffs only 3 out of the top 10 passing offenses made the playoffs. However(gee, you could just hear it coming ) I've always thought that using pure yardage is not very indicative of 'good passing teams'. If a team is rubbish & falls behind early(& often) in matches, it will be forced to pass(often against easy yardage gaining prevent defence) & overly inflate the passing stats(unless the passing game is terrible ala 2005 Bills). The same works conversely for good teams. They get ahead in matches & therefore will run the ball more, hence getting higher rushing numbers(putting more on the rushing column you showed) & lower passing number(dropping them off the second column)....(unless you are the colts) That being said, I still think a strong running game is more valuable to achieving SB success than a strong passing game. Adam
Its much more complicated it- which RB has the opportunity to do the most. If our revamped OL blocks well, he has a shot. I think Dillon will take another step back- Martin may improve a bit, but Cedrick Houston will take more carries from him. Statistically- which is usually not accurate, I think MaGahee and Brown will be the best

TDRupp
Tough decision! 709828 I would do it now and send them a 4th rounder. Miami would not do it though. No way. Ronnie Brown is very talented at running, block, and catching (see him against us in Buff) and heading into his second WITH a great attitude and head on his shoulders. barring injurie, he will be better then Mc Gahee THIS year and after, IMHO. No Ricky taking playing time and he comfortable as a pro. All I can say is I hope I am wrong.
