Good book, actually...meticulously researched, very well-balanced, and surprisingly readable, particularly considering the author's a professor at the Naval War College. Anyone who wants to know what's going on in Iraq should turn off the horeshit shovelled by CNN and Fox and read this book.

The dog days of summer have left me with lots of idle time. Here are the sites I visit that haven't yet been mentioned: Anything Charles Krauthammer writes. Blogs Freakonomics Blog Mark Cuban's Blog Jeff Matthews' Blog I, Cringley Henry Blodget's Blog Forums Elite Trader Customer's Suck There's some pretty funny stuff here. I also try to check on anything Paul Shirley or Chuck Klosterman have written lately for ESPN.com. Most of this stuff is bubblegum for the brain, but worth sharing nonetheless.
