Cugalabanza
I think this is great, not just for England (who I really like this time), but for the game in general. Rooney is one of the most exciting players to watch and he deserves his chance. I hope he will be ready to go 100% for round 2. http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/060607/1/76mk.html

ajzepp
That's awesome news! I've been watching some "Manchester United classics" on Fox Soccer Channel over the past few weeks....the guy is a monster. I'm not really rooting for England either, but I'm thrilled that he's playing. I want to see the best of the best, which will only make the US victory all the sweeter
meazza
McDonalds in Germany should be pleased. Another funny thing I heard this morning was that Ronaldo was fit to play in the world cup. I didn't know that soccer had integrated the offensive line position into the game since that is the only position a fat slob like Ronaldo would fit into

This is the second time he's broken his leg in the same way. It's a loss for France and for Liverpool. He's a fool though - so.... m'eh.

Maybe he would have played but he wasn't the main source of attack for les bleus. I really can't wait to see Zizou play, since this is the last time he will be stepping foot on a soccer pitch.
