Buffalo Bills Whispers

New DL coach Bill Kollar told PFW that he expects to use several defensive tackles as part of a rotation to keep them fresh and to get them to give a maximum amount of effort throughout the game. “We want the guys to play as hard as they can play for every play,” Kollar said. “So, if you are out there for two plays and you are tired after two plays, come out and we will put the next guy in. We are going to have enough guys that can play that we will be able to rotate them and keep them fresh.” Kollar also said the defensive tackles the Bills have acquired this offseason are a better fit for defensive coordinator Perry Fewell’s variation of the Tampa-2 defense. “Larry Tripplett we signed as a free agent, and he has real good quickness, real good up-the-field lateral quickness, and that is what we are looking for. (John) McCargo is sort of the same way. We saw some real good quickness in him in college, and we feel that those guys fit the scheme better than possibly Sam Adams did last year. We drafted Kyle Williams out of LSU, and we see him more of a nose-man type of guy.”
