Tipster19 Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 He's got good size and he's supposed to be a ST animal. This is a little bit of a surprise, seeing that it didn't happen right on June 1st. I wonder if there is going to other late releases.
Thailog80 Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Didnt we bring in him for a visit a few years back when he was a FA?

I would expect there would be delays from now through training camps. And Bannister is no different than the other 5 average WR's we have.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 I think we've tried to bring in Bannister twice...once when he was a RFA and last year when he was a UFA. I know I've seen his name pop up with the Bills a few times over the last two years.
cantankerous Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 He's broken his collarbone two years in a row...barely seen the field in that time. He's a great special teams player though. Not someone the Bills need in my opinion.
stinky finger Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 He's a great special teams player though. Not someone the Bills need in my opinion. 702686 Yeah. Who needs great STers?
MadBuffaloDisease Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Yeah. Who needs great STers? The Seahawks do, which makes one wonder WHY they released him? They've got the money to keep him and it's not like they have a lot of talent at WR.
cantankerous Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 We already have great ST's players...we don't need one that will brake his collarbone for the third time in 3 years. He's barely seen any action since 03...and he's not a good receiver either...in 5 years he's only caught 9 passes. Yeah! We should sign him!
34-78-83 Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Yeah. Who needs great STers? 702718 not the Bills

cantankerous Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 what the hell...... are you a psychic doctor or something? 702771 Just a guess But seriously he's only played in 9 games in 2 years.
Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 not worth picking up. Our Wr group is pretty good right now.
WhitnerIsAGod Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 If he's under 5'10" and runs a good 40, the Bills should sign him to a mega-deal. [Actually, he's way to freaking tall for the Bills.]
Buftex Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Yeah. Who needs great STers? 702718 Unfortunately, the Bills have a roster right now, made up of "great STers", and too little else...
