Kelly the Dog
The place where virtually every single one of us met Paul was twobillsdrive, and the one binding element that we all had with him, and with each other, would be The Bills. Perhaps it would be appropriate to all get together, buy 2-4 season tickets for the Bills, purchase them in Paul's name, and then donate each game to a different charity, or boys and girls club, Big Brother/Big Sister so that some kid or kids can enjoy a Bills game. And then perhaps we can include JSP's home phone number so the kid can call Joe on Monday after the loss and talk about all the great things that happened yesterday. Crap Throwing Monkey
Just a suggestion but wouldn't making a donation to the charity responsible for the illness that killed Paul's wife? I don't really know what she passed away from, but if it was an illness, I'm sure Paul would be happy knowing that there was a charity of some sort. 703552 Without getting into too much detail...there's no charity for Darlene's "official" cause of death. I say "official", in quotes, because - again without getting into too much detail - the coroner's finding of cause of death was patently ridiculous. Which is why there's no charity - it's not a fatal condition.

Kelly the Dog
I like that. Especially that last part. 703630 Depending on how much was donated, the extra could go for stuff on Sunday. Whoever the adult was that escorted the kid(s) would, say, get cash for parking, for soda and food, perhaps to buy the kid a hat or shirt or something. And then we could perhaps chronicle his or her talks with Joe. It will be super depressing, but we may be able to cash in, pitch it as the inverse of "Tuesdays With Morrie." It could be "Mondays With Joey".
Stl Bills
Whatever everyone desides......count me in. I didn't know Paul that well and I even started out on the wrong foot with the guy, but after a few months of posting I was able to bury the hatchet and come to love his posts, sense of humor, and wit. This is truly the saddest news I can ever remeber being posted on TSW and I would be honored to particpate in any act in his rememberence. I too am at a loss for words and my thoughts and prayers have been reserved for his family and friends.

BRH
I haven't checked TSW that much lately, being as wrapped up in the Sabres as I was, and I never knew BiB's real name. I totally missed this thread until now and I'm sorry I did. I just got back from my 15th college reunion where I learned we recently lost a clubmate to a devastatingly sudden and swift illness, and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I couldn't walk around the club without thinking of him, or expecting to see him. The interesting thing is that this happened even though he and I were not close. Not unfriendly, just not close. He had his close social circle and I had mine. Yet I could not imagine the place without him. He was an indelible part of the place's character, and looking back, he made it a better place, a more fun place to be for all of us. That is exactly how I feel about Paul right now. Godspeed and God bless. BRH
