Crap Throwing Monkey Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Cheap goals happen. Doesn't mean I have to like them. Sabres really need some power play opportunities...they're not going to get many breakaways with the front lines cheating back on defense. And so far, Carolina looks like they want to play disciplined and not take any stupid penalties. At least it's only game 4, and not game 7 or anything... 698827 So much for power play opportunities. That is one of the most unorganized grabastic power plays I've seen in a long time.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 And IF Brind'Amour had scored, I'd have blamed it on Miller. But here's the key to that play: Brind'Amour didn't score. Jesus. Now you're bitching about Miller's saves. (That play scared me, too. Not the puck going off his glove, but Miller looking around for the puck with NO idea where it was.) 698842 Exactly he looks to be out of it mentally. We need goals, NOW.
erynthered Posted May 27, 2006 Author Posted May 27, 2006 So much for power play opportunities. That is one of the most unorganized grabastic power plays I've seen in a long time. 698844 I thought I was watching a Bills Game, " 2 Minutes for giving him the business"......
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Exactly he looks to be out of it mentally. We need goals, NOW. 698846 Honestly...with half his defense out, I wouldn't be surprised if he was out of it mentally. Imagine the frustration of having to communite to guys in front of you who aren't used to sharing the ice with you...
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 LOL Guess you're not supposed to actually SHOOT the puck on the PP.... Horrible Whole team looks horrible.

Horrible Whole team looks horrible. 698851 Briere looks good. That's about it. The good news is: the second period has to be better. It HAS to be. I don't see how they can play that much worse - that was the worst period of playoff hockey I've seen from the Sabres.
erynthered Posted May 27, 2006 Author Posted May 27, 2006 Honestly...with half his defense out, I wouldn't be surprised if he was out of it mentally. 698850 Did you ever play any sports? Damn, your an idiot.
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Did you ever play any sports? Damn, your an idiot. 698854 Sarcasm, right? Used to go through that same thing in soccer way-back-when, when I replaced a defender or someone subbed for my goalie. Trying to coordinate with a guy you're not used to playing with is very distracting.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Well, here's to hoping the Defense and Goalie exctract their collective craniae out of their anuses. An early goal in the second, get the crowd back into it and who knows?

Pine Barrens Mafia Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 "Crania."And you really need to switch antidepressants. I thought I was a pessimist... 698863 Perhaps. Had to reschedule my quarterly appointment
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Perhaps. Had to reschedule my quarterly appointment 698865 Then go with plan B: drink early and often.
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Then go with plan B: drink early and often. 698868 Like Lindy Ruff. According to him, the Sabres played pretty well. See, drinking works.
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Game over. Great effort. PULL HIM NOW. 698872 Can't blame that goal on Miller, though. Jillson let the guy in clean...and that whole play started from bad play at center ice. But...yeah, this team just isn't playing tonight.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 This is it. Time to see if this team has any balls at all. Looks like they got a case of Bills-itis.
