Just Jack Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 These people obviously aren't part of the Hot Pocket crowd.... From today's Syracuse Post-Standard Little Debbie trail leads police to burglary suspects If it wasn't for Little Debbie, three burglars might have gotten away with stealing six packages of instant lottery tickets, according to Syracuse police. That's Little Debbie, as in the popular snack food. After burglars smashed a window early today at the Midway Express Market and fled with lottery tickets and some snacks, Officer James Johnson followed a trail of discarded Little Debbie coffee cake wrappers from the West Onondaga Street store to the third floor of a nearby apartment building, according to police reports. Officers knocked on an apartment door, were permitted inside, and found a crumpled up box of Little Debbie coffee cakes and numerous lottery tickets there, police said. Three people at the 400 W. Onondaga St. apartment - Curtis Hudgins, 17, Adrian Huddleston, 20, and a 15-year-old youth - were charged with burglary, grand larceny and criminal mischief. "This was a combination of good police work and a stupid criminal," said Sgt. Tom Connellan, the departments spokesman.
