Dan Gross
Anyway, I can't think of a team in the last ten years that lost three of its top 5 D-men in a single playoff run. What's happened to the Sabres is a "perfect storm" that no one could have anticipated. 699186 Probably about the closest you can get in recent history (at least a team successfully overcoming injuries) was when Scotty Bowman called up Callander, Michayluk, and Needham to create the Muskegon Line in '92, but that was forwards... I remembered Scotty talking about it on WGR and just looked it up...
Alaska Darin
Seems like it's a regular part of your repertoire when you're wrong. Nonetheless, not running off on your always changing wild goose chases won't change the fact the Sabres didn't address their defense, and are now being exposed for that mistake. Period. 699185 How about you actually tell me what I'm wrong about? In this entire thread, you've pointed out the same ridiculous talking points that the media regurgitates, with your key factoid being that one team, who didn't make the playoffs, picked up 3 marginal defensemen at the deadline because they had lost 3 players to injuryBEFORE the deadline. On my side, I compare our team to the other 3 teams remaining in the playoffs, pointing out that none of them could suffer similiar losses and even compete. Yet I'm wrong and YOU'RE right? taterhill
That's the best advice yet, the points been made for better or worse - I'm outta here. 699188 you should have left a long time ago..still waiting for names of players that we should have picked up to sit in the press box in case we had 3 guys go down in the playoffs.... BillsGuyInMalta
On a completely different sidenote...and going in the face of everything I stated after Game Four...but I've got a weird feeling we're going to win tomorrow. Cant explain it, just a feeling. Take it for what its worth.

After game 3, I had a dream where Henrik Tallinder and I were roommates and I asked him how his arm was and he said it was fine, but that I wasn't supposed to tell anyone. So I spent the whole next day waiting for good news until I found out it was indeed a broken arm. Which just goes to show you why you shouldn't trust the giant Swedes in your dreams.
