Please tell me that you use the left lane to pass slower moving vehicles and that you move over as soon as you "safely" pass the other vehicle. Please tell me that you do not feel it is your right to stay in a long line of cars in the left lane to pass that one car wayyyyyyyy up there ahead of you, even though the right lane is clear for quite some time. Please, please, please tell me that these are Hurricaine fans or Dolphin fans or someone other than my Bills Brethern and Sisteren that are continuously pissing me off every morning. If your passing fine, even if you are one of those a-holes that is passing someone 1 mph faster than the car in the right lane, but the left hand lane is the passing lane and it should be enforced as so. I drive fast. Sue me. When I am going 75 mph, and I come up on some a-hole going 62 mph in the left lane, I wish to god that I had a James Bondesque missle launcher rise out of my hood and blast that slow driving jerk out of my way. When I drive to Baltimore airport from Jersey to make the Bills Games, driving on 95S through Maryland is crazy. You have 5 lanes of people doing 65mph. The left is much smoother. In the Ohio drivers ed manual it says that when passing a vehicle the overtaking driver is to honk the horn to alert the vehicle being passed. Ya think the fact that she's from Maryland might explain it? 697029[/snapback] The Baltimore-DC area breeds left lane drivers, because 1) the expressway network has right and left exits, which means you occasionally have to drive in the left lane for your exit, which breeds the habit, and 2) Too many people in the Baltimore-DC are are !@#$ing stupid (or cab drivers...but I repeat myself). I don't mind people driving in the left lane as much as I do people doing 50 in a 65 while talking on the cell phone and reading the paper in the left lane. Left lane is for speeders and passers. With the 70mph limit here on fla, i hate when i want to pass someone and then have to deal with some jackass doing 70 in the left lane. Move the !@#$ over into the right lane. But this isnt one of the big problems with florida drivers. there is much worse down here. One question i have tho. I have to drive through the ghetto to get to work. why the !@#$ are black people always walking in the middle of the road? There are 2 perfectly good sidewalks, and hell, theres even a shoulder, so why is there a need to walk in the middle of the lane or in the left turn lane? I'm generally going fast enough that I'd be passing and moving left and right too much. Doesn't excuse the idiots who feel the need to go 90 and make it dangerous for everyone.
