Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Jim Kelly makes more sense now that I think about it. However, Thurman for me is a close second.
Little to the North Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 OJ 694297 yeah..way to support a murderer slick. It has to be Jim Kelly!
keepthefaith Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Jim Kelly, and Bruce Smith defensively 694309 Bruce Mathison or Todd Collins
PromoTheRobot Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Butch Rolle! Has anyone topped his TD-ratio-per-reception yet? I doubt it. PTR
Thailog80 Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Butch Rolle! Has anyone topped his TD-ratio-per-reception yet? I doubt it. PTR 694328 Jason Peters
Orton's Arm Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 As much as I hate him, I'd have to say OJ was probably the best. No other RB has rushed for over 2000 yards in a 14 game season; nor has any RB rushed for over 2000 yards through the first 14 games in a 16 game season. The other candidate would be Bruce Smith; as he's one of the best defensive ends ever. Jim Kelly? He's good, but guys like Elway and Montana were clearly better.
Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted May 19, 2006 Author Posted May 19, 2006 Jason Peters 694335 yeah right. But hey you never know. He looks good.
VABills Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Robert James was probably the best player to ever strap on the uniform.
ans4e64 Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Jim Kelly? He's good, but guys like Elway and Montana were clearly better. 694342 because elway and montana played for the bills
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Thurman Thomas NFL Record 4 straight years leading the nfl in yards from scrimage. Beat Jim Browns record of 3 straight years, so yeah for me it's definitly Thurman.
Dibs Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 I would narrow it down to.... OJ, Thurman & Smith....as stated above, Kelly was great but not 'the best'. For similar reasons, I would say Smith. Neither OJ nor Thurman would generally be considered in the Top 5 of all time at their position. Bruce Smith however certainly would, if not Top 3. Mind you, going along this logic.....and here is my vote for my favourite of all time as well. Steve Tasker. Top 1 at his position. Considered by many to be the best special teamer of all time. How many other game-changers have there been from special teams(sans return men)?
