BillsGuyInMalta Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...I get it! The whole point of the commercial is to show that WGR REALLY needs comedy writers. And a dose of humility.

And a dose of humility. 693159[/snapback] I think that was a Jeremy White production. Sometimes GR can be pretty funny though. Mike Shoop does a funny "Olde Tyme" radio announcer voice. I'm pretty sure they first broke that in last fall during the Ted Bruschi ESPN lovefest to make fun of how the play by play was being called for the Bruschi game. Sometimes Shoop and the Bulldog starts off with a medley of that voice calling out names of random, bizarre people being on the field. The Zdeno Chara stuff from the last round was amusing too. That was Jeremy White. And Brad Riter is funny just for the random things he says. And his mice on the Astroturf experiment years ago.
LabattBlue Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Jeremy White is only funny when he is not trying. On Monday he thought the Hurricanes played in Charlotte and when Howard corrected him, he responded with "whatever". Just now he was referencing an article in a Carolina paper and he thought the "Triangle" referred to Charlotte-Greensboro. Maybe he should stop trying to be so funny and try to be a little more credible. Somebody in management at the station needs to tell him that WGR is a sports talk station, not a MORNING ZOO show.
The Tomcat Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Dick Jauron, Jauron, Jauron......Dick Jauron, Jauron, Jauron....oh oh......Dick Jauron.... The Ottawa song was great...fwiw...
Fewell733 Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 There are so many Carolinians on this board that making fun of you guys becomes impossible. If we make fun, we're making fun of all you guys except ex-Buffalonians and their kin. Jeremy White is only funny when he is not trying.
