Try to build some wind farms and someone is unhappy. CNN you suck. Rather than "Company builds wind farm to reduce dependancy on oil", it Windfarms kill birds.

I'm actually thinking about killing a few birds myself and get off the grid by building a wind turbine. Anyone know of any affordable kits or instructions?

Not to worry. I've invented an attachment to the windmills which senses when a bird runs into a blade, and instantly sprays the bird with one of three different flavored BBQ sauces.

 

You can choose from Diced Beak Bonanza, Shredded Flyer #4 or our new spicy Feathers! Feathers! Everywhere! made with real habanero chile peppers, lime, garlic and just a hint of Lawry's seasoning.

 

Or...try all three!

I actually wasn’t trying to be a wise ass when I wrote this. I did find some instructions to build one called the Dragonfly. It uses a 12 volt car alternator so I guess its not exactly going to get me off the grid but it’s a start.
