ACor58
When does someone step in and commit this guy to a mental institution? http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=2441016

Alaska Darin
Iob isn't a thug of any sort - in fact he's a very skilled hockey player.

Alaska Darin
Media bias? 689185 No idea. I've seen him play a number of times and he's really talented. Hard to say what the deal is with his actions in Europe but he never played that way over here.

HE TRIED TO START SOMEONE ON FIRE!!!!

HE TRIED TO START SOMEONE ON FIRE!!!! 689302 That's pretty funny, if you think about it. It was a freakin' lighter thrown on the ice (disposable, no doubt) and he attempted to light an opponant's jersey with it. If that isn't good clean fun, what is? Really, it sounds like he was just having fun...as if he's REALLY going to set the guy on fire with a disposable lighter in front of a corwd of spectaters and the other players? C'mon. HarkinBanks
Seriously, you could not even try to make something like this up...even if you were filming another Slapshot. Since we drafted this guy back in 1991, I am guessing the chances of him making it up to the NHL are not looking good: http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=2441016 Canadian-born Iob, a ninth round Buffalo Sabres draft pick in 1991, has been involved in a long list of disturbing episodes throughout a career spent primarily in European leagues. The most bizarre incident occurred in the 1994 Italian league season when Iob picked up a lighter from the debris thrown on the ice during a bench clearing brawl and grabbed an opponent's jersey before attempting to set him on fire.
