Arkady Renko Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 You think maybe it's because they are focusing on the movie? 688042 I'm not sure, but at times it seems that they didn't think plot twists fully through.
meazza Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Perhaps I shouldn't be judging the quality of 24 seasons. I have seen three of them: the first one, the fourth one and this one. But out of the three, I think the fourth one was the best and was the one that brought me back to the show. 688109 the third one imho rocked;.
Simon Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I once watched about 6 minutes of "24" when it first came on. It was so stupid and ridiculous that I couldn't make it through a 7th minute. The acting was poor, the characters were vapid but the kicker was that the writing was George Lucas embarassing. Go with Lost.
Scraps Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Friggin 11-11.....THANKS, guys 688374 Not any more, but what did you expect from two very popular shows?

Rico Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Friggin 11-11.....THANKS, guys 688374 It comes down to this:if you want the best non-stop action, nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat entertaining show starring a total badass character who kicks more butt than Chuck Norris , and doesn't require too much thought or analysis, get 24. If you want the best intriguing, stylish, bizarre show with a great ensemble cast that will require you to really pay attention and keep you guessing as to what will happen next, get Twin Peaks.

ajzepp Posted May 14, 2006 Author Posted May 14, 2006 I suggest you have all the discs for 24 Season 1 at home before starting the 1st one, you may end up wanting to finish it all in 1-2 days. I know I would not want to be waiting on the next disc to arrive. Lost is great but more cerebral, 24 is just flat out more entertaining IMO. 687452 I think Netflix must have throttled me on Friday, caues they should have received one of my returns....I was hoping to get disc 2 sent out. I watched all of the first one on Thurs night, so you were right.....I hate that I'm having to wait to see what the hell happens. This show is right up my alley. I figured that since it was in real time it would be a little slower except for maybe the last few mins of each episode....this is like non-stop action, man. I'm definitely diggin' it!

Some people can do it, but I can't... that series, I wait for the DVDs. Glad you like it!

Glad you like it! 691161 Yep, even though I can't believe I hadn't seen a single episode of this show until last week, I'm pretty psyched that I've got however many seasons of it just sitting there waiting to be rented It's pretty amazing when I sit here and think about how much sh-- has already happened after just four episodes! I still want to see Lost at some point, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to just rip through the first few seasons of 24 before I do

No filler episodes anywhere. A lot of it is hard to believe but so what... I think the over-the-top approach is what makes it great.

I was dyin' when Bauer took out the dart gun and shot the guy in the leg.....good stuff. I don't know how realistic the whole plane scene was, where that chick steals the ID and then blows up the plane, but it was sure cool as hell to watch.
