buckeyemike Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 for one here on TSW? Since a lot of people here are transplanted Buffalonians living in 1) North Carolina or 2) Florida, how many would be interested? And would I get to moderate a NASCAR board? Inquiring minds wanna know. Mike
kegtapr Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 No, but a hockey board is way overdue. 687408 Have we gone from complaints about off topics on The Wall to complaints of off topics on Off The Wall?
stuckincincy Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 No, but a hockey board is way overdue. 687408 I think there used to be one, but because the Sabres stunk for so long, it got axed.

Ramius Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I'd be game. So long as the one requirement for posting was that you hate jeff gordon.

Mike 687392 No. NASCAR has become the modern equivalent of roller derby, but with much more petulant, childish, and irritating competitors - managing to combine the features of a traveling carnival with a cheesy soap opera, and would put a sponsor logo on their testicles if they found a way to market it. Don't let me influence you, though...
Like A Mofo Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 i am all for making fun of nascar folk 687447

IDBillzFan Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I think there used to be one, but because the Sabres stunk for so long, it got axed. 687425 Then I guess I'm going to miss TBD when it's gone because the Bills show no signs of improving. Not at all. I'll miss most of you.
stuckincincy Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I'll miss most of you. 687493 The scarecrow, most of all...
RayFinkle Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 for one here on TSW? Since a lot of people here are transplanted Buffalonians living in 1) North Carolina or 2) Florida, how many would be interested? And would I get to moderate a NASCAR board? Inquiring minds wanna know. Mike 687392 As a transplanted Buffalonian in NC, I get plenty of NASCAR crap from the local media down here. I come to TSW to get real sport news, please don't taint it....
Ghost of BiB Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Harumph. Now you know how I feel about American Idol threads. Some real sports news there, campers.
dpbillsfan Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I would agree that NASCAR is not everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoy it. I don't care for Hockey and I don't slam anyone who does. I'm just not interested in it. If some one wants to post about racing I'm for it.
Lori Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I don't know about devoting a whole board to NASCAR, but another board I lurk at has running threads for several topics - NBA and NHL playoffs, different TV shows (like the 24 and 'Lost' threads here), books people are reading, etc. Why not try that for the next race, and see what the response is like?
mcjeff215 Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I'd think we leave it as is. The more boards we have, the less traffic each category sees, discussion then becomes sparse. -Jeff
