LewPort71 Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 3 minutes to go 2---1. Miller is playing unreal.... Jeneratte is going nuts on the radio...
MadBuffaloDisease Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Frickin' A man! This game is nerve-racking! I hope I can calm down by 11:30, when I have to go to bed!
LewPort71 Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Ryan Miller is GOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GEAUX SABRES
Jukester Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 We steal one on the road - 2-0 and coming home. Looking good.
RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 *cue the annoying pop song* "You know we're gonna win that Cup..... We're gonna win that Stanley Cu-up, Me an' the Buffalo Sabres yeah, yeah, yeah...." Well, it's just one game... but one step closer. Whooo hoo!!!
BillsGuyInMalta Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Holy crap...okay, just for reference... We got 17 shots on Emery, he had 15 saves. Ottawa got 44 friggin shots on Miller, he had 43 saves. Miller STOLE this one for us. Thank God for him. Still though, I expect the offense to pick up in Game Three, thats where we'll start putting them out on Emery. Good start to the series by Buffalo, still need two more games to put it away. Ottawa is ONE TOUGH TEAM, thats for damn sure.
Dan Gross Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Who said defensive hockey can't be exciting? Wow. All "freak" goals. Two off the breakaway (which seems to be a given score against Emery) and one off the face-off. Still felt like Buffalo was playing penalty kill all the game, even when they were even up. Gotta find a way to keep the puck in the Sens' end. Where's Joe with his obligatory "Ryan Miller...weak" commentary?
MichFan Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Paging Maxim Afinogenov ... paging Maxim Afinogenov ... there is a playoff series being played against Ottawa and we would like to see you doing things other than sitting in the penalty box, aimlessly meandering with the puck, and making turnovers. If Connelly is injured, your services will be greatly needed the rest of the way. Miller was great tonight, plus a little lucky. Hope the home ice advantage has the same impact as it had in the Philly series. The Sabres are being thoroughly dominated in every aspect of the game other than goals, goaltending, and turnovers. Fortunately those are the only statistics that have mattered so far.
ans4e64 Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 we have to at least get 1 out of 2 in these next 2 games at home, i dont want to see the sens tie up the series like the flyers did, but this is different because we started off on the road this time. GO SABRES
