I played safety in college and really struggled in coverage at times. In high school, I played linebacker and the reads are entirely different. Plus, if you make a mistake at satefy, it is gonna be magnified. If you take one step up on a play action, you have a wr flying by you. Since the cover 2 relies on speed, perhaps of Coy gains some weight, he could make the transition. It would be worth a try and perhaps he could be used on obvious passing situations. But it's obvious, he isn't a NFL safety.

I still think that Aaron Gibson will make the team and be our primary backup at the offensive tackle position.
