HtownBillsFan
Does anyone know what the name of the music or a group that sings music that sounds like African choral music. Not a good way to describe it, I know some was in The Lion King, it kinda sounds like african language sang in chorus. Anyway, the reason I want to know is my son (11months) seems to like it. Any help would be great. I know its a bad way of stating the question above, but I couldnt think of any other way to put it. I also heard some on the Saturday Night Live Cartoon Special (if that helps).
KRC
I do not think it is a specific style, but here is the website for the composer of the Lion King stuff: Lebo M
UConn James
Was it the group that sang with Paul Simon on "Graceland"?

BTW, this might be a good starter CD....has a lot of the Lebo M/et al stuff on it. If you can find the CD....try ebay...or go with some of the other stuff from the artist, per Ken's suggestion, just thought this would be 'closer' to what you're kid's used to hearing... I saw the live production a couple years ago and was blown away by it. I bought the CD and I listen to it all the time. There are quite a few additional songs (not in the film version) that are absolutley beautiful. If you don't have this version, I highly recommend it.
