Draconator
It will be Las Vegas. Mayor Goodman is hard up on getting a professional franchise in Vegas. It really doesn't matter to him if it's MLB, NBA, or NFL. He just wants a team. This article talks about the Chargers now possibly staying in San Diego County, due to the county amending their lease. Who contacted them about the Chargers relocating in Vegas? Good old Oscar Goodman. Who's to say that Goodman also hasn't already contacted Ralph, and would be ready to scoop the Bills to Vegas when Ralph passes on? It's a thought, and a valid idea. apuszczalowski
Thats fine and Dandy that he wants a franchise, he will probably never get one. Almost no league is willing to put a franchise in LV because of the gambling. And considering the majority of the people in Vegas are tourists, whos gonna support the team? Putting a team in Vegas has been tried many times, but it always gets turned down due to the gambling.

30dive
I agree that most leagues will not want a team in Vegas, because of the gambling, however, I would think it is probable that a NBA team will be be in Vegas sooner rather than later. That said, Vegas is the fastest growing city in the US, so the fan base would be there.

PromoTheRobot
I was just in Vegas and read the local paper. They had a story on this very topic. It seems LV has been trying to lure any major league franchise (except NHL) the last year. The problem the article pointed out is that LV is not built to support major league sports. Here's why: 1) Growing city? Yes, but mostly laborers and casino workers. Not the kind of folks who buy PSL's and luxury suites. 2) This is interesting: LV is a 24 hour city. A three-shift town. Meaning at any given moment 1/3 of the population is working, and 1/3 is sleeping! Thus reducing the available pool of fans for games. 3) That being the case, sports that play a lot of games (baseball, basketball, hockey) would have a tough draw. NFL football might work since there are only 10 games (2 pre, 8 reg) a year. Casinos would prbably comp high-rollers tix to games. But what of the playoffs? Then there is always the gambling issue. Las Vegas is certainly a sexy city, but one not bult for major league sports. PTR

SD still has access to the Chargers. Problems solved. PTR
apuszczalowski
Just do like the Angels did in Baseball, add LA to their name and the problem is solved. The could have the Los Angelos Chargers of San Diego or The Los Angelos Bills of Buffalo if they really want
30dive
Hell just split the distance, build a stadium in Iowa and call 'em the LA Bills, they will come. Hey this might make for a good movie.
Arkady Renko
I don't see why a Las Vegas team would be so successful. There are plenty of other things to do and the city is very transitory so fans will already have other teams to root for.
