Buftex Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 linky 680501[/snapback] The "American Recordings" box set that came out after he died, stands as one of the greatest records of all time. It is a little pricey (4 cd's worth of outtakes, and one "Best of..." from the 4 albums from that series, produced by Rubin), but worth every penny. I would put it up there with the Robert Johnson records, "Grievious Angel" and Dylans 1960-1974 stuff...really powerful stuff. Thanks for the info!
cromagnum Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Im new to country music, I must say I like the older sound and cash being one of the songwriters I enjoy, I will check it out........ Got into it about 5 years ago at a bar that had an outstanding jukebox full of blues and country.....
ieatcrayonz Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 I hate to break the news to you fellas, but Johnny Cash died. There is no way he can put out another album.

ieatcrayonz Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Hardly. He was the best host The Tonight Show ever had. Jay Leno is ok but will never live up to Johnny's standards.
