John from Riverside Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 I was impressed with what I saw of Luke....and while he may not have been the bruiser Shelton is.....I thought he was a good blocker who had Larry Centers type hands...... Should of kept him......
Spiderweb Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 I was impressed with what I saw of Luke....and while he may not have been the bruiser Shelton is.....I thought he was a good blocker who had Larry Centers type hands...... Should of kept him...... 50851[/snapback] I too have been saying the same thing, except I've called Shelton anything but a bruiser. He hasn't shown me that. In fact, he looks very shaky in the pass game (blocking and catching, routes, etc). After the past couple games, from what I saw, he should be lucky if he's still on the roster by game 9 (giving him half a season). Any idea where Lawton has gone?
HarkinBanks Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 I guess there was a reason after all that Shelton was OUT OF THE LEAGUE last year. I was surprised that the Bills just picked some guy up off the street and gave him the starting FB job. Was hoping it would be a lucky break for the Bills but definitely not looking that way.
eSJayDee Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 I ditto these sentiments. Was particularly surprised that he didn't make our practice squad. From my rather untrained eye, he was the most impressive of our FBs in PS.
Mike32282 Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 September 6, 2004 Reported by Dan Bubany Former McNeese fullback Luke Lawton is coming home. A day after being released by Buffalo, Lawton is returning home to Lake Charles because he did not make the eight-man practice squad for the Bills. Lawton's agent has been trying to contact other NFL teams, in hopes of finding a place for the fullback. http://www.kplctv.com/Global/story.asp?S=2...41&nav=0nqxQcOR
Mike32282 Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Apparently no one thought Lawton was any good.
