CJPearl2
Taking this with a VERY BIG grain of salt, Bob Glauber of NY Daily News said on Cold Pizza this morning that the Jets, GB and the Bills made offers to New Orleans for the 2nd pick. Did anyone else see/hear this? Interesting.
Cornerville
Maybe they wanted McCargo at 2?

JoeF
Marv was salavating about Brick in his post draft press conference. Said VERY few tackles and QB's come in ready to play ...Brick is one who is ready to play.

Lurker
Brick. 679579 Whitner even said that the Bills told him that they would pick him if the Brick was gone. Probably just a cursory shot at seeing what NO wanted to move up to get him.
Bill from NYC
Glauber is a better than average sportswriter. He has been with NY Newsday for a long time, and his thing is the NFL. They wanted Bush?
Guest BackInDaDay
They wanted Bush? 679611 Nope, I'm not goin' there.
Dr. Fong
They were reporting this on draft day. I knew it was too good to be true that they wanted Bush, but I was hoping.
Jack D. Ripper
If it's true, then they wanted to get Bush.
Realist
They probably wanted D'Brick. They knew he'd be gone at 4 with the Jests, so they wanted to get ahead of them and they doubted Tennessee would move, knowing the Titans wanted a QB or would have taken Bush if he got past 2. Pine Barrens Mafia
If that's the case, then it changes my whole perspective. I had the feeling they had Da'Brick going in the third, like they had Leinart in the second.
apuszczalowski
I heard before the draft Jauron was really wanting Brick or Hawk, Marv didn't want to trade up from #8, Take it for what its worth

Max Fischer
I woud have thought Tennessee at #3 would make more of a trading partner. They would have known the Bills, Jets (Leinart I think made more sense here), GB and SF would not have taken Young. Only obstacle were the Raiders at #8 (thought I suppose that is 50?50 and a big gamble - though I don't think they should have picked Young anyway - but that's another post topic).
