justnzane Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 good pick but there are some decent tackles still left also.
Astrobot Posted April 30, 2006 Author Posted April 30, 2006 Now you have 2 fast safeties. Obviously BPA. They must really like their O-line. Matua, Setterstrom, and Scott will be gone by our next pick.
Bill from NYC Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Levy must have forgot that he already selected 2 DBs with their 1st 3 picks. What a friggin jackass.

ExWNYer Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 we could always trade the two 5's to move back into the 4th if needed (if there are any takers) 677750 I'd be happy with Simpson. Hopefully, as a human being, he's closer to Bill than O.J.
Rico Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 They must really like their O-line.Matua, Setterstrom, and Scott will be gone by our next pick. 677742 Didn't Fowler say when he signed that the OL was a very tight-knit group?Maybe they don't want to completely break the boys up. Hard to argue though against Simpson in the 4th, late 1st-round talent according to some.
ajzepp Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Levy must have forgot that he already selected 2 DBs with their 1st 3 picks. What a friggin jackass. 677746 Bill, if you look through the Ko Simpson thread I started yesterday, Faustus makes a great point. If you can pick someone in the late rounds who is better than one of our starters, you gotta really consider that. Vincent is about done and Ko Simpson is a better player than Rashad Baker. Chances are Marv and Co. don't feel there is a lineman available now who will be better than guys like Preston, Geisinger, McFarland, etc. There's no sense making a lateral move when you could potentially get a starter at FS.
Astrobot Posted April 30, 2006 Author Posted April 30, 2006 Consensus Draft services had Ko Simpson as the 46th bbest player overall, going in the 2nd Round. You gotta take him here for Cover-2.
SnakeOiler Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 cool....our secondary is going to be SUPER fast. Won't be able to stop anyone on the run, but boy we'll be able to chase the guy down from behind!
Brandon Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Levy must have forgot that he already selected 2 DBs with their 1st 3 picks. What a friggin jackass. 677746 Can't really blame them. Troy Vincent is older than Marv is.
Astrobot Posted April 30, 2006 Author Posted April 30, 2006 Ko Simpson had 100 tackles this season on a mediochre S.Carolina team. Here is an encouraging quote: "...his physical maturity is a big reason he has been so dominant on the field despite his lack of experience. Simpson [is] a flat-out playmaker and is a big reason South Carolina was able to turn things around this season and make a bowl appearance."
elcrusho Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 That's Awesome.... I Picked Ko Simpson in the 6th round in one of my madden leagues what a steal - turned out to be 81OVR not bad
