PromoTheRobot Posted April 30, 2006 Share Posted April 30, 2006 If the Bills had Whittner targetted, they would have traded down if Huff was still available at #8, knowing Detroit was targetting a safety. That trade down might have allowed us to get McCargo without trading with Chicago. We may have even been able to trade down twice. (Once with AZ to 10, then again with Philly, Balt, or Denver.) The Bills will never admit it, but I'm sure they had planned to get extra picks by trading down. But we had to fill SS and DT positions, so things worked out the way they did. That's my take.
