Why losman needs to start this year.

Excuse me, ICE...but Im "flaming and bashing" you becuase your all over the damned map. Your daily flip-flopping diatribes make John Kerry blush.

You say trade the Bills best players.

24 hours later, youve got them going 7-3.

They TEN hours later, you say start Losman and rebuild.

WHAT THE !@#$??!!??

Heres a novel concept.....make a point and trying STICKING WITH IT for more than a few hours. Then maybe you wont get "flamed and bashed". And frankly, being that youve been the poster boy for being a negative loose cannon on TSW and have been for years now, youve got some nerve to now be playing the victim.

That said, I have the team at 7-3-3.  I also say in reality we will finish 8-8.  Now since we are 0-2 that would put us at 7-5 with 3 wildcards.

Even ignoring the "7-3-3" nonsense, does anyone else see the problem with this?

ICE...time to start working on those math skills...

here is the REALITY of the Bills situation, Losman needs to start ASAP. I agree he is green as hell, he is a rookie. That is why he MUST PLAY. bottom line folks we WILL suffer through growing pains with a new/young QB. It doesn't matter who he is. Cinci sat Carson Palmer all last year thinking that would help him. I watched him on sunday submarine a win for the Bungles due to no ON THE FIELD Experience.

I don't care if it is Losman, Rothleswhatever, Manning, or whomever you will have growing pains and a development year. Yes I said YEAR.

The question is, do you want to get the kid about 8-10 games NOW or suffer through an entire season next year or the year after? Bledsoe will not take us to a superbowl. So now you have a decision to make. Personally I am the guy that goes and gets the shot over with NOW so I can feel better more quickly. But that is just me.

Either way...We WILL have a long season when losman starts...you might as well prepare for it now. And please don't start the "he sucks" He's a bust" BS with the kid. ALL QB's take a while to get good.

Well...I agree, and said as much in a thread yesterday...

If the Bills win Sunday, DB will get another couple weeks to prove himself in this Offense. But a loss Sunday, IMHO, means a start for JP vs. Arizona on Oct. 31st.

Your point about letting JP get the struggles out of his system are pretty much dead on to the way I see the situation. Of coarse, I'm assuming the Bills will be either 2-4 or 1-5 going into the Arizona Game. If the Record is 3-3 or 4-2 (hey...anyone can dream  ), obviously Drew will remain at the helm. But we all know how the Bills have struggled at the NY Jets, and I imagine they will be sizable underdogs at Balt. I just see that Arizona Game as being the perfect opportunity to get JP in there, in a Game where he can have some success and build some momentum. Let the Kid start the last 10 Games, take his lumps, and he'll be 100% ahead of schedule come 2005...

I think the whole point here is IF, and I know the Bills are only 0-2 now, but IF they struggle to a 1-5 or 2-4 start, there is no way MM will be able to calm the fury for JP. I mean, can you imagine what the attitude will be amongst Bills Fans and the Media if we are put through 6 more weeks of what we saw on Offense vs. J-Ville and Oakland? People will be rioting in the streets for JP...MM knows this, and he will have no choice but to pull the trigger and put the Kid in there to see if he can give this Offense a spark... B)

So instead of trying to talk football intelegently you guys resort to bashing and flaming.  This is why people are leaving this board.

That said, I have the team at 7-3-3.  I also say in reality we will finish 8-8.  Now since we are 0-2 that would put us at 7-5 with 3 wildcards.  Odds are we might win 2 of them. Reality says we lose 2 of them. there for we are at best 9-7. Not enough to make the playoffs and not enough to suffer through another year of "helping Drew"

since 97 it has been the same thing "I'm not ready to give up on this year".  98, 99, 00, 01, 02, 03.  So when DO you sacrifice ONE season to develop your future?  And how can you call it a sacrifice considering we are 17-33 or something like it in the Donahoe era?  With our D the worst we could do is what we are doing now...6-10, 7-9 or 8-8. but then on the other side of is is 11-5, 12-4 etc and playoff spots because you developed your talent.

But instead of actually thinking, you guys flame and bash.

Paco I actually use my brain cells. It takes brain cells to actually think, not be a homer or sit around flaming someone like a 12 year old in school.

When you put forth the effort, you make some good points, but with you one never knows who your getting. No one is all over the map as much as you can be.

And while I agree about the incessant flaming around here relative to how it brings this board down, ICE, look in the mirror, you are one of the biggest flamers on this board. You insult virtually anyone who crosses your path, name calling, coded and blatant profanity, and now you're pointing out (in general) everyone else's character flaws. Pot & kettle, Pot & Kettle.

As for the playing of JPL, I agree, but if by some miracle Bledsoe rediscovers the fountain of youth and begins to play like a real QB with positive results (wins), it won't happen. However, from the looks of his first couple of games, he just might find himself holding the clip board again for his understudy before too long. In a losing season, his job is tenuous at best.

A few wins and this is all moot.
