In space no one can hear Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Thanks for the Q and A wih Dwight Adams. Could he be asked to submit an article once a month TBD? I miss seeing him at training camp every year....his player analysis was priceless!
Mile High Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 "WE WILL TAKE THE BEST PLAYER ON THE BOARD."... What a damn cop out. No guts... The CBA, the salary cap, to me, dictates that you draft for need. You can't get enough offensive linemen/defensive linemen or corners. You can get a RB, a WR, a safety later on. Some of the cliches in NFL are so funny. "You win with defense." If your special teams and the offense is no good, forget it. You better make sure all three parts of the engine work. "We work our matchups." BULL. You ever see a one legged CB go in the game and not have the opponent pick on him. "We need to stretch the field with our TE." HA. Then why don't they even throw him the ball. Funny stuff.
obie_wan Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 An excellent read. Adams really sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders. It's a shame Wilson didn't choose him to replace Butler. Edit: TD's best draft was back in 2001, when Adams was still with the team. Maybe that's just a coincidence, but I feel it says something very positive about the talent evaluation skill Adams brought to the table. 678849 Adams is a good talent evaluator- not a GM.
Orton's Arm Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Adams is a good talent evaluator- not a GM. 682649 A few years back, you could have written, "John Fox is a good defensive coordinator--not a head coach."
