Frez Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 I wouldn't be surprised if Buffalo selects another DT in round 4. Justin Bannan, Ron Edwards and Sam Adams are gone we still need depth at DT. Keep your eye on these guys in round 4. Rodrique Wright Gabriel Watson Johnny Jolly Babatunde Oshinowo Orien Harris
Frez Posted April 30, 2006 Author Posted April 30, 2006 We are also very thin at the ILB spot. London Fletcher Liam Ezekiel Greg Carothers That's it.
buffalo mike2 Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 We also need a DE. I don't know about you, but Kelsay and Denney do nothing for me. Someday I hope to see a real LDE.

cooldudeav Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 So i guess what you guys are saying is that we are thin at.... EVERY SINGLE FRIGGIN' POSITION! Well no matter who we pick it we be adressing some need. Frankly it doesnt matter which.
Golden Wheels Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Could be another defensive pick right off that bat for round 4. 677411[/snapback] Either Ryan LaCasse or James Wyche from Syracuse could be a decent late round pick.

bdelma Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Impressed with who! When are they going to help. Their nothing but backups
Astrobot Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 I agree about the DT. After reviewing what's left, it will be one of these: Jonathan Lewis (4th), Orien Harris (4th), Barry Cofield (5th), Tommy "TJ" Jackson (5th -- Character Guy) , Anthony Montgomery (6th) or Jeff Littlejohn (7th-- Character Guy). I don't think it will be Lewis, because we have some other holes to fill before getting back to DT, and there is always a decent guy let go or undrafted at DT. I'll say TJ Jackson. He's the quickest of those.
Astrobot Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 At DE, Chris Gocong is still there. He's a quick guy, a film guy, and known for his pass rushing. Frostee Rucker is the name you recognize, and he's still there, too. If you want to wait until Round 5 where we have 2 picks, I have 3 guys highlighted at DE. Clayton Farrell Mike Kudla Brady Fosmark The ESPN guys like Kudla for his ability to generate pressure from his strength. He had the combine record bench press record, but he's not Leif Larsen. He'd be a pocket collapser rather than an edge guy.

We really only have three DEs on the roster and one is a FA after '06. Additionally, our pass rush needs significant help and a good speed rusher would make a nice addition to our defense. And finally, I just don't see any of these day 2 OL coming in and making an immediate contribution, but a pass rushing specialist can probably do so just on athleticism alone. In the end, I have to say that I really like the players still available both at DT and DE. DT still has enough players left that I think we can get a contributor at 134 or 143. DE...not many good prospects left and the few that are will go quickly today, so the Bills should get one while they can.
Ozymandius Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Let me throw a somewhat random name out there at DT. I don't think anyone has him as draftable and yet I like him a lot. DT Steve Fifita, Utah. He destroyed Pittsburgh's line in the Fiesta Bowl a year and half ago when Utah went undefeated.
