Fezmid
Donahoe picked McGahee when it seemed fairly clear that he would have been available much further down due to concerns about his knee. In fact, Drew R. told McGahee to make it look like teams were calling him when they were not. Donahoe could have gotten WM later--he was played and was a fool by similar logic. 675080 Except everyone said the Radiers would take him with the last pick of the draft... And we got the DL we wanted anyway. Not even close to the same. CW

Not even close to the same. CW 675100 We picked him at, what 22? If the Raiders were going to pick him last, then we could have traded down a few spots in order to get more picks. The guy the Bills wanted would not have lasted too much longer--in fact, probably he would be picked within a smaller window than there was w/ WM. Sorry. The DL crap was just TD spin and irrelevant to this. You don't even know who the Bills will pick w/ their next pick yet.
Arkady Renko
is that your prediction for the Bills 2006 regular season record, or you prediction for the height of their next draft pick? 675093 It is a reminder about the good job that Donahoe did. So what's the problem? Plus, there wasn't all that much interest in trading for that spot if I recall, unlike today where we had at least two teams contact us (according to NFLN and ESPN). Donahoe was no genius for getting Kelsay. He dropped into the 2nd round. Donahoe picked him b/c he was high on the board, big deal.
