KOKBILLS Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Detroit wanted Whittner. He was gone at #9 is the Bills traded the pick. PTR 674548 That is the only possible explanation for this...Man...Whitner better be the next Ed Reed though...
N.Y. Orangeman Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Marv just woke up from his nap ... we picked who? 674538 You know, we'd be better off if that had actually happened. We could now jump back in at the #11 and grab one of the DTs, Justice, etc..
/dev/null Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Just a thought but maybe no one offered a trade!!! That being said, WTF! 674567 I think there were a couple but Marv's asking price was too high
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Whitner would've been fine at say 15. Whitner at 8?!?!??! Someone spiked Levys apple sauce. they got some esplanin to do. Seems like a panic move in not getting Huff. I dont get it
colin Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 i was shocked, but remember dwight freeny, levi jones, edge james? everyone thought they went too high and were not even that great at their position, but they were all fundamentally sound. this guy is too
Beerstm Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 huge buckeye fan here! But I have never been impressed with Whitner.. He is good and solid.. but not game changing.. he will be good.... with luck have a carreer like henry jones.... don't expect anything more! To take him at 8 just amazes me... He is not that good... Whitner does not have that much upside! oh well.. go bucks!
Golden Wheels Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 I've already gotten a phone call from a Pats fan mocking the Bills for taking that pick.
Louie Armstrong Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Offensive lineman? We dont need no stinkin offensive lineman.
LabattBlue Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 huge buckeye fan here! But I have never been impressed with Whitner.. Beerstm Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 I've already gotten a phone call from a Pats fan mocking the Bills for taking that pick. 674599 I'd pick on us too... marv is going to ruin his legacy in Buffalo!
sven233 Posted April 29, 2006 Author Posted April 29, 2006 Here is what I think happened......THE BILLS GOT FLUSTERED They wanted Huff. He was taken and they were flooded with calls and they did not know what to do. Before they knew it, time was up and they needed to do something. I just think they had no clue what they wanted to do after Huff went off the board. Marv is failing BIG TIME at GM.
Beerstm Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Thanks. I feel better now. 674604 sorry.. about that... I kinda have that pit..sick feeling in my stomach why do I care so much?????
Max997 Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 i cant wait to see what the Rams got from Denver to move up Bills could have had at least the same trade this is HORRIBLE
Louie Armstrong Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 cutler to the Broncos 674612 Whitner to the Bills.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Detroit wanted Whittner. He was gone at #9 is the Bills traded the pick. PTR 674548 That just goes to show you how much he must SUCK. If Detroit wanted him, he must suck.
Hirly5 Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Detroit wanted Whittner. He was gone at #9 is the Bills traded the pick. PTR 674548 If Matt Millen wanted to draft him, you do the direct opposite. Matt Millen is a horrible GM. He will probably turn out ok but at the #8 spot?
