Nanker Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Draft Day (with apologies to Petrino) Once again the day is here That we’ve all anticipated For days and weeks and months I fear Since the season’s activity abated Armed with lists and clips and charts of Joes The players we were hoping To snatch ahead of hated foes And would pass the League tests for doping We gather ‘round our computer screens Radios and televisions To watch our new Front Office’s dreams Unfold like Heaven’s mission When Tags gets up at position 8 To announce Marv’s pick, Ernie Sims And at once, in unison we scream with hate “What the !@#$ is he thinking?!!!” Alas, there is no greater hope Than a Bills fan for the off season But in the recent years our faith turned to a joke And Draft day was the reason And, no. I do not have anything better to do this morning.
