a cold dose of reality

The odds are long but not impossible. Far as I can tell, we need...

2) Saints to prefer Mario over Brick. Likely the case.

3) Titans to pick Young over Leinart. The rumors are that the owner/GM prefer Young.

4) Jets to pick Leinart over Brick. At least 50/50, I think.

5) GB to pick Hawk/Davis over Brick. Very, very likely (given their tackle are good).

6) SF to pick Davis/Huff over Brick. Very likely (given investment in Jonas already).

7) Oak to pick Huff/Ngata over Brick. Very likely (given investment in Gallery already).

The keys are picks 3 and 4, I think. It starts with the Titans choosing Young, opening the door for the Jets to choose Leinart.

this is not my prediction, just to say "you never know".

it all hinges on who decides to get a last second hardon for Jay Cutler.

If the J-E-T-S want him and can't find a suitor to trade with they could take him at #4. Sure....3 months ago this was NEVER going to happen....but the more I read the more I hear Cutler is the favorite of the 3 top QB's. Very much the way Phillip Rivers shot up on the chart the morning of the draft a couple years ago.

although I doubt Ferguson will fall to the Bills as well....it could happen:

Texans: Reggie Bush

Saints: Mario Williams

Titans: Vince Young

Jets: Jay Cutler

Packers: AJ Hawk

49ers: Vernon Davis

Raiders: Matt Lienart

Bills: D'Brickashaw Ferguson

wow- definately in the realm. I doubt Cutler goes that high but if does we have a great shot at DBrick. Barring trade that is the way the draft goes besides Cutler IMO

The Texans just might take Mario and then the Saints grab the Brick for sure.

I think you were using it before or around the time you got booted out of Columbus OH, if that's any help.

I've only driven through Columbus OH, didn't see anything that made me want to stop the car. :D

Oh my God, what if ALL the players are gone by the time we pick??

DOOOMED!

As I said before, I count at least a dozen players that the collective brain trust has decided "definitely won't be available at pick 8."

And they are all can't miss guaranteed that they will be gone before #8 picks

And they are the only players who will definitely succeed in the NFL...well, that and whoever the Patriots pick up in the 6th round.
