marck Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 With the latest rumors of both Matt Leinhart & Jay Cutler dropping in the draft, would you consider a trade proposal where we trade down from 8 to 17, and get Minnesota pick at 48 in the second round and pick in the 5th round at 145. In this scenario the Bills would have a 1st round pick, 2 2nds, 2 3rd's, a 4th, 3 5th's, a 6th and 2 7th's. A total of 12 picks. I would not take this deal because it puts the Bills out of range for the best DT prospects and really adds very little to immediate contributing players. Since this might be a scenario that unfolds I just wanted to present it and get your feedback.
cooldudeav Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 I agree. Its too big of a drop. We really need to pickup a top lineman early and i dont think we can do that unless we stay in the top 12 or 13.
Dennis in NC Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 There was some talk (on TSW) about getting both Minn 2nd rounders out of such a trade down (perhaps Bills add a 4th or whatever). Now, maybe we can consider it, but not for just one 2nd and a fairly useless late pick.
