SDS Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 will take him at #4. Heard this on WTEM today. He's a UM boy, so they have been following him.

Rico Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Not to worry... this is Coy Wire's breakout season, he'll handle him no problem.
richNjoisy Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I saw this too but I will be pretty surprised if this pans out. The Jets are weak in so many key positions, I would be surprised if they use a #4 pick on Davis. yes, he would make it easier for Pennington to dump the ball but... ...not when they could instead get a bookend tackle or a franchise QB m 2 cents
Lurker Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I can't imagine NY having VD. 672062 He'd be a natural fit with Mr. Mexico, though. I wonder if ATL would trade up for him?
stuckincincy Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I can't imagine NY having VD. 672062 Not one chancre in a million...
Dennis in NC Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Smoke screen, absolutely. Jets are trying to BS the 49ers into trading up with them...
BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Smoke screen, absolutely. Jets are trying to BS the 49ers into trading up with them... 672072 It might work, the Niners are painfully dumb.
ganesh Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 The Jets are going to pick some one who will sell more gear....Vernon Davis will be a popular choice....not a LT or a LB.

Pine Barrens Mafia Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 They drafted Kyle Brady once... 672142 beatcha to it, hoo hoo man.
bartshan-83 Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Bill Parcells told my friend Justin that he wanted to take him with his first of two 1st RD selections last year. He said he hoped he lasted to their second 1st rounder. Giants got him the 3rd. Coaches and GMs blow almost as much smoke up the players asses as the agents do.
Ozymandius Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Well, let's assume it's true. It's good news for us, right? 1. Houston - Bush 2. Nawlins - Mario 3. Tennessee - Young/Leinart 4. NY Jets - VDavis 5. GB - Hawk 6. SF - Huff 7. Oakland - Young / Ngata 8. Buffalo - Brick
apuszczalowski Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Thats alright, I am saying that the Bills are going to select me in the first round and I will not slip past #8 Must be true
buffaloboyinATL Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 I also heard Mario Williams interviewed on an Atlanta radio station saying he was extremely confident that the Texans were going to take him with the #1 pick. I think the teams feed these guys a bunch of bs and make them believe they will pick them.

NY Jets - VDavis 5. GB - Hawk 6. SF - Huff 7. Oakland - Young / Ngata 8. Buffalo - Brick It's probably a good thing. The Jets would have either taken Brick or a QB. By not taking either, more trade partners have 2 players, not one, to trade up for.
