Rico
Just out of curiosity, how many of those do you think you'll never watch again? 671237 There are hundreds upon hundreds that I've never seen even once...but if I want to see them at any time, I can, it's just a hobby. Music is even worse... thousands upon thousands of hours of Dead/Dylan/Bruce/Stones/Neil shows and everyone else... that I know I'll never play in my lifetime... but, just like the movies, in this great day & age they are very easy to obtain at an even lower cost (bandwidth + blank media), and I like having them. Rico
Nice photo in your profile. 671258 Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk Thanks for that. Myself, I prefer some of the 80's stuff in alt.binaries.dvd.erotica.classics. Sometimes alt.binaries.pictiures,erotica.traci.lords has DVDs as well, but most of them are password-protected & I'm out of the porn loop.
IDBillzFan
You honestly think you'll watch more then 5 minutes of the 4th one? 671287 Sure. We always watch porn at my house. You know what's really funny? My wife grew up with a TV in her bedroom whereas I grew up not allowed to watch anything other than the Brady Bunch, McCloud, Banacek, Columbo and some football. She wanted us to get a TV for the bedroom, and her side of negotiations opened with "Just think. You can watch porn in the bedroom." Two years later...ya think I'm watching porn in the bedroom? Fezmid
Then don't call it unlimited rentals! You can have unlimited rentals UP TOO the point where you no longer become profitable, but once you cross that line we;re going to throttle you back to the point where we are making a profit. But we're going to pretend were not throttling you (until we get sued of course and have to change our TOS.) Instead, we'll just say we haven't received the movies you mailed back 4 days ago when we always used to receive them in 1 day. It's a bull sh-- practice. If you're not making money you change your product offering, not use deceptive practices to swing it back into your favor. They were using false advertising until they finally changed the fine print. I'll admit Netflix is a good service for the average renter that watches a couple movies per week. I've found much more value for my money with the Blockbuster service though and have yet to be lied to. I'm sure I'll eventually get screwed by Blockbuster to, because well, it's Blockbuster. 670837 Did you know that most cable internet companies (including Comcast) throttle your internet usage? If you download too much, they cut way back on your bandwidth or even threaten to cancel your service. They offer "unlimited internet service" as well. I hope, for your sake, that you have DSL or dialup because otherwise you're paying for something advertised as unlimited that really isn't! I got warned & suspended from Comcast a couple years ago for exactly that reason (got stuck with them after @home went belly-up), switched over to Verizon DSL the very next day & have never looked back. TheMadCap
Good choice. 671243 Yep. Good movie indeed. One thing I really liked was that John Hurt played the dictator of England in VfV, the Orwellian equivalent of Big Brother. But he played Winston Smith in the film version of 1984. The irony!
