ajzepp
...do you think about how they would fit in with regard to the other players we have on the team in an actual game? I think sometimes we get all caught up in just looking at the player as an individual prospect, you know? For example, a few nights ago when I saw footage of Broderick Bunkley just obliterating the opposing offensive lineman to the point where he was LAUNCHING them backward, I thought about that combined with Takeo's playmaking ability behind him. I love the idea of disrupting the offense so much that they just can't function. When we have some force on the D-line, our playmakers shine. Schobel, Nate, Terrence, Takeo.....those guys are opportunists. I don't know, I just really like this Bunkley guy. I think he's immediately give us greater intensity and opportunity on defense. BUFFALOTONE
I agree I like the thought of Bunkley on front of our LB crew, depending on if tko gets back to form.

apuszczalowski
I think thats the way the teams usually look at players they want to draft and it should be the first question they ask themselves. How will this player fit on our team? Just because a player ripped up the college ranks at a position it does not mean that they will do the same for any NFL team. They have to fit your team and your system first.

And one of the problems when evaluating players for the draft. Bunkley played with a couple of notable teammates at FSU - LB Ernie Sims, and DE Kamerion Wimbley. There have been positive words about NC State's DT John McCargo, who played between touted DE's Mario Williams and Manny Lawson. The Bill's DT Tim Anderson played well on an OSU team that had a DE who was a high pick, and OSU usually fields an overall decent defensive club. I think it's difficult for us fans to sort through that. There are two words, however, that I like to see when reading analyses of defensive players - good tackler. How good were FL States guys that Bunkley played with?

I just read the endless mocks and profiles like everybody else... There a number of FSU fans here - perhaps they will chime in.

It shouldn't take 4-5 guys to tackle one player, and offensive players should be able to sip through 3-4 guys before someone finally stops them?
