Astrobot Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 My Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 ($95) isn't working these days, and I'll be darned if I'm going to shell out more bucks right now. Is there a decent, straightforward freeware program that takes an ISO file and can make DVD's from it? Thanks in Advance... Astro

Rico Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 DVD Decrypter 669344[/snapback] Yes indeed, that's the best & it's free.
Astrobot Posted April 25, 2006 Author Posted April 25, 2006 Unfortunately, it's no longer available. Here's what it says at the mirror sites: "This software is no longer available, this page is stored for archival puposes only. On 24th of November, 2005, Macrovision Europe contacted AfterDawn.com, notifying us that they have acquired full rights to the DVD Decrypter software and have changed its licensing terms. Effective immediately, they have decided to withdraw all distribution rights from all third party companies, including AfterDawn.com. Thus, distributing DVD Decrypter is now as illegal as it would be to distribute cracked copies of Windows operating system or pirated copies of games. "

Coach Tuesday Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 I used Roxio's free Easy CD Creator the other day to do just what you want. Try downloading the free software and giving it a shot.
Astrobot Posted April 25, 2006 Author Posted April 25, 2006 Reporting Back-- I have succeeded. This software Imgburn is the sequel to Decrypter, and worked first time in writing my ISO file to DVD. I am the videographer for my school, and had old pageants and plays on my hard drive as ISO's, and thought I would be unable to make DVD's for parents. I've done some weddings, too, but that's too stressful--what if your battery gives out, etc. etc.--it's not like they'll get married again for the videotape re-do!!!!
