Nanker Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 These are my draft predictions. Go ahead and say they're wrong. sven233 Posted April 22, 2006 Author Posted April 22, 2006 1. HOUSTON - BUSH2. NYJ(from NO) - LEINART 3. TENNESSEE - V. YOUNG 4. NO(from NYJ) - HAWK 5. GREEN BAY - M. WILLIAMS 6. SAN FRAN - V. DAVIS 7. OAKLAND - NGATA (or Huff) 8. BUFFALO - D'BRICK 9. DETROIT - HUFF (or J. Williams) 10. ARIZONA - CUTLER Until the real draft, this one is as legit as any. GO BILLS! 667370[/snapback] That would be an absolute dream!!!! I could see it happening this way, but not likely....you could see it this way though: 1. HOUSTON - BUSH 2. NO - M. WILLIAMS 3. TENNESSEE - V. YOUNG 4. NYJ - LEINART 5. GREEN BAY - HAWK 6. SAN FRAN - V. DAVIS 7. OAKLAND - NGATA 8. BUFFALO - D'BRICK 9. DETROIT - HUFF 10. ARIZONA - CUTLER I think this may our best shot at getting D'BRICK.
Brandon Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 1) Houston--Reggie Bush 2) New Orleans--D'Brickashaw Ferguson 3) Tennessee--Vince Young 4) NY Jets--Matt Leinart 5) Green Bay--Mario Williams 6) San Francisco--Michael Huff 7) Oakland--Jay Cutler 8) Buffalo--AJ Hawk 9) Detroit--Winston Justice 10) Arizona--Vernon Davis While I don't expect any trades in the top 4, there will could be a significant change in the draft order of the 5th-10th picks if the above scenario occurs. In particular, I think there is a very good chance the Bills could trade for the Packers 5th pick. This would allow the Bills to draft Mario Williams should he be available and the Packers should still get AJ Hawk at 8 (or GB could draft Williams, wait to see if the Bills can draft AJ Hawk, and work out a deal to trade the two players later). If not, I think the Bills will trade out of the top 10. Oakland might also attempt to trade their pick to a team needing a QB.
Ramius Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 1. HOUSTON - BUSH2. NYJ(from NO) - LEINART 3. TENNESSEE - V. YOUNG 4. NO(from NYJ) - HAWK 5. GREEN BAY - M. WILLIAMS 6. SAN FRAN - V. DAVIS 7. BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Houston: Reggie Bush New Orleans: Mario Williams Tennessee: Matt Leinart NY Jets: Jay Cutler (Oh yes...there will be booing) Green Bay: AJ Hawk San Francisco: Vernon Davis Oakland: Vince Young Buffalo: D'Brickashaw Ferguson Detroit: Michael Huff Arizona: Winston Justice
The Jokeman Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 With trades too difficult here's how I see things go if everyone stays put in the top 10. Houston: Reggie Bush New Orleans: D'Brickashaw Ferguson Tennessee: Matt Leinart NY Jets: Mario Williams Green Bay: AJ Hawk San Francisco: Vernon Davis Oakland: Jay Cutler Buffalo: Broderick Bunkley Detroit: Michael Huff Arizona: Vince Young
Rico Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Houston: Reggie Bush New Orleans: Mario Williams Tennessee: Matt Leinart NY Jets: D'Brickashaw Ferguson Green Bay: AJ Hawk San Francisco: Vernon Davis Oakland: Vince Young Baltimore: Haloti Ngata Detroit: Michael Huff Arizona: Winston Justice Bills trade #8, 2007 3rd-round pick, and Coy Wire to B'more for #13 and #44. Ravens are desperate to get Ngata to free up Ray Ray, and Marv outfoxes Ozzie. 1. Broderick Bunkley, DT, FSU 2a. Davin Joseph, OG, Okla. 2b. Deuce Latui, OG, USC Bills package their 3rd with their 5th and 6th to move into the bottom of the 2nd, cause someone is falling... 2c. Mattius Kiwinuka, DE, B.C. 3a. (from Titans). Daryn Colledge, OT, Boise State Bills package their 4th and 7th with Houston's 5th to move up into the 3rd. 3b. Babatunde Oshinowo, DT, Stanford 7. (supplemental) Michael Robinson, QB, Penn State (CUT 1st week of training camp)
Ozymandius Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 The Bills are going to draft Haloti Ngata... I'm very confident about this after reading what Marv and Modrak had to say yesterday. I'd label it a 90% certainty to be honest and the reason is that Marv and Modrak don't strike me as people who play the deception game. They'll withhold information as is their right, but anything they actually put out there is going to be reliable. They're not going to bring in players just for show, so when Haloti Ngata is brought in for a private workout, it means something. Here are the two links again to what they said in the press conference: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=3725 http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20060...?tbd1021607.asp Modrak leaves no doubt that Ngata can fit the Cover 2: ---Is Haloti Ngata a fit (for Buffalo)? TM: "Yes. He's a little bit different than Bunkley. Ngata is pretty much a one or two gap, run down plugger, push the pocket kind of guy. Bunkley is more of an edge guy. But Ngata is (a fit.)" "Edge guy" here is somewhat backhanded and eliminates Bunkley, imo, because the Bills are looking for someone who can be the overtackle next to Tripplett, who will play undertackle. Also: ---What is your assessment of Brodrick Bunkley? TM: "He's a high-motor guy who is a three-technique who could be a one (technique). He had great workouts and a very good Senior Bowl. He competed well at the Senior Bowl, had a good career at Florida State. Again, we have a backhanded compliment about Bunkley. "Great workouts", "very good" Senior Bowl, but only "good career" at FSU. Like any good scout, Modrak will value what happened on film at FSU more than anything else. ---Another key quote was: "In fact, the guy we sort of like right now, my strong guess would be he'll be there four spaces below," Levy said. That eliminates Michael Huff, who was also brought in for a private workout. Huff won't get past Detroit and everyone knows that. It also eliminates Vernon Davis. ---And: "On the offensive line the one caution is he isn't going to do it this year very often. The offensive lineman is rarely going to be a quick fix unless he's a Tony Boselli or Anthony Munoz." No Justice. The Bills are going to draft Haloti Ngata. Pencil it in.
Ozymandius Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Also, Claude Wroten will slip into the third round or second day of the draft. He tested positive for marijuana at the Combine. If the Bills have a chance to draft him in the 4th or 5th round, they should go ahead and do it. It's low risk, high reward for a talent like him.

Not saying we should do it (I'm very anti-Wroten actually) but I feel very confident he'll be taken in the 3rd.
sven233 Posted April 24, 2006 Author Posted April 24, 2006 I like any draft with us getting DA BRICK! I'll especially like it if it is the real 2006 NFL Draft! HA!
