eball Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I've heard it said in the past that the regular season means nothing in the NHL because "everybody" makes the playoffs...well, this year should shut those folks up. SIX teams with winning records are sitting at home. It's nice to see the NHL back and thriving...and our Sabres right in the thick of it.
Spun Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I believe the shootouts had something to do with that. In 2003-4 there were three teams with winning records who didn't make the playoffs, including the Sabres. The Sabres increased their point total from 2003-04 to 2005-06 by an incredible 25 points (85 - 110)!
