Inahaze Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 What kind of Defensive front did we run in the nintiesduring the superbowl runs? I am trying to make a point to someone and want to make sure.

RE: Bruuuuce NT: Jeff Wright LE: Leon Seals / Phil Hansen LBs: Biscuit, Conlan, Talley, Bentley, Bailey, Patton, Maddox
Inahaze Posted April 17, 2006 Author Posted April 17, 2006 It was Fred Smerlas; Then Jeff Wright; who were the other DT's back then?
Inahaze Posted April 17, 2006 Author Posted April 17, 2006 Oh and thanks a lot; it helped out greatly
Lori Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 It was Fred Smerlas; Then Jeff Wright; who were the other DT's back then? 663448 If you're talking strictly the Super Bowl run, Smerlas was gone by then. Wright started all four SBs.

RE: Bruuuuce NT: Jeff Wright LE: Leon Seals / Phil Hansen LBs: Biscuit, Conlan, Talley, Bentley, Bailey, Patton, Maddox 663442 Didn't we also have an older DE (from Dallas, IIRC) named Arthur something? I remember Swizzle - Stick saying "This dog can still hunt" in reference to him.
Typical TBD Guy Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Didn't we also have an older DE (from Dallas, IIRC) named Arthur something?I remember Swizzle - Stick saying "This dog can still hunt" in reference to him. 663574 Jim Jeffcoat?

justnzane Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Didn't we also have an older DE (from Dallas, IIRC) named Arthur something?I remember Swizzle - Stick saying "This dog can still hunt" in reference to him. 663574 I remember after the SB days we picked up Jim Jeffcoat from Dallas. To reply to an earlier post, we did have mike lodish as a backup DT. Lodish happened to play in 2SB's for Denver afterwards. he holds the record for most SB's played
Cynical Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Didn't we also have an older DE (from Dallas, IIRC) named Arthur something?I remember Swizzle - Stick saying "This dog can still hunt" in reference to him. 663574 Art Still, LDE, late 80's. Was let go after the 1989 season. Leon Seals took his place. Played for KC.

The Dean Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 If you're talking strictly the Super Bowl run, Smerlas was gone by then. Wright started all four SBs. 663450 Have I mentioned, recently, how much I despise Fred Smerlas?
dave mcbride Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Jeffcoat, if memory serves. 663579 art still, actually. he was gone before the super bowls, though.
Lurker Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 a piss poor one for the talent they had 663655 Statistics are for losers, but not too bad considering how much they were on the field: 1990 Season: Ranked 6th in fewest points allowed, 3.7 yards per rush, 13 rushing TDs against, 18 INTs 1991 Season: Ranked 19th in fewest points allowed, 3.9 yards per rush, 20 rushing TDs against (yuck), 23 INTs 1992 Season: Ranked 14th in fewest points allowed, 3.3 yards per rush, 8 rushing TD's against, 23 INTs 1993 Season: Ranked 5th in fewest points allowed, 3.8 yards per rush, 7 rushing TDs against, 23 INTs
