OGTEleven Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Heard Huff interviewed on ESPN radio. The teams looking at him are Oakland (safety), Detroit (safety), Buffalo (safety/corner), ST L (Safety/corner). Interesting that the Bills are looking at him at both positions. There's probably not too much to read into but maybe something is going on with Clements.
JimBob2232 Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Nah. The one knock on Huff is that he might not be able to play corner at the NFL level. He was a safety in college and projects as a very good safety in the NFL who MIGHT BE ABLE to play corner. Obviously different teams have different ideas of what position they would like him to play. I think this fits buffalo well however, he can play safety now, and maybe switch to corner next season if clements leaves.
roscoeparrishfan Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Looks like cowboys are interested as well. Could we be a trade partner here? Cowboys | Team might consider moving up to draft M. Huff Fri, 14 Apr 2006 18:02:23 -0700 Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports the Dallas Cowboys might consider moving up in the NFL Draft to select Texas CB/S Michael Huff. The Cowboys are scheduled to pick 18th in the first round, and Huff is expected to be long gone by then. To get Huff, the Cowboys would have to trade up, possibly ahead of Detroit at No. 9, certainly ahead of St. Louis at No. 11.
Astrobot Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 An 18 to 8 leap (500 points) by the Cowpersons would net us more than just their 2nd Rounder (400 points). They would have to throw in something else this year or next. Players ikely to be available at 18: Tamba Hali, DE, Penn St. Kamerion Wimbley, DE, Florida St. Marcus McNeill, OT, Auburn Donte Whitner, S, Ohio St. Antonio Cromartie, CB, Florida St Leonard Pope, TE, Georgia
