Chilly Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 I'm out of Genny Cream Ale, and now have to drink Icehouse. And I only get genny cream ale once every year in Texas.
SilverNRed Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Genny Cream? Do you need a good colon cleansing? 659645 Was that an offer?
Chilly Posted April 12, 2006 Author Posted April 12, 2006 Genny Cream? Do you need a good colon cleansing? 659645 Better then the Mexican or American macro brewry sh-- we get here most of the time.
Pete Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Better then the Mexican or American macro brewry sh-- we get here most of the time. 659653 Negro Modelo and Pacifico are damn good beers!
Chilly Posted April 12, 2006 Author Posted April 12, 2006 Negro Modelo and Pacifico are damn good beers! 659655 Not a big fan tbh.
IDBillzFan Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Not a big fan tbh. 659661 Not a big fan of Nego Modelo, but depressed because you're out of Genny Cream Ale. If I was a condescending, pompous ass, I'd be all over this.

All Icehouse is going to do is leave you with a headache.
Pete Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 I will add Anchor Steam is a damn good beer as well!
KRC Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 If I was a condescending, pompous ass, I'd be all over this. 659938 Well, then, it is a good thing I am here. Depressed over no Genny Cream Ale? Use this as an opportunity to sample truly good American brews (I'd go international, but I know it would be falling on deaf ears). So, what American brews to try, you ask? Good question. How about stuff from: Victory Brewing (Downingtown, PA): I am not sure if they get to TX, but worth it if it does. Try Hop Devil, Old Horizontal, St. Boisterous or V-Saison. Dog Fish Head (Delaware) has a 90 Minute IPA and a 120-Minute IPA. Try them. Stone Brewery (San Diego, CA): Arrogant Bastard, Double Bastard or Ruination. IPA's and double IPA's. This should be a good start.

KRC Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 We should go drinking together. 660006 Works for me. I am on an English Ale kick with homebrewing. I figured you would appreciate that. Trying to give my beer an "English" feel by using English hops, grains and yeasts.

KD in CA Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Dog Fish Head (Delaware) has a 90 Minute IPA and a 120-Minute IPA. Try them. We get Dog Fish Head when we go to Bethany Beach in the summer. Good stuff.

If I was a condescending, pompous ass, I'd be all over this. 659938 I just don't like the Mexican beers. Don't ask me why. But my taste in beer is !@#$ed up - I don't like Guiness or Sam Adams, not a big fan of dark beers. Yet I find Steel Reserve to not be horrible. Go figure. Good thing you're not. Bluefire, head to the store and pick up some Sam Adams or Blue Moon or something. All Icehouse is going to do is leave you with a headache. 659948 Yeah, Blue Moon is damn good. I like it a lot, had some last weekend. Thats okay though, I just picked up a handle of kentucky burbon whiskey and some mexico cokes. Get some Blue Moon. 659949 Indeed, I wish I had some. I was out of that too. Well, then, it is a good thing I am here. Depressed over no Genny Cream Ale? But I'm one of those weird people that like Canadian more then Blue. I had some good local beers over Christmas up in Niagara Falls, Ontario, but I just am not a big fan of shiner. I do need to try Dog Fish Head. In a couple weeks I'm gonna try to go over to the bar here in Austin that has it on tap. I've been told to do that. Arrogant Bastard I've never tried. My one roommate tried it and didn't like it. I need to give it another shot though, as we have completely different tastes in beer. Are any of the Shiner beers (brewed in Texas) worth it? http://www.shiner.com/home.html 660083 Eh, Shiner's just okay. Shiner Blonde and Shiner are both somewhat generic. Shiner reminds me of Fat Tire if you've ever had that.
