KD in CA Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 The U.N. Security Council has demanded that Iran stop all uranium enrichment activity by April 28. Uh oh.....almost time for a new resolution!!
KRC Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Iran I love it. What timing. 658994[/snapback] See North Korea for how this will play out in the future. They are working together and the tactics are evident.
Gavin in Va Beach Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Need to start practicing the ole' Duck and Cover...
Ghost of BiB Posted April 11, 2006 Author Posted April 11, 2006 This is a bigger and more complicated issue than many are giving credence to. Can't compete with getting Hillary to stomp for the Bills, but it's a mess.
Jon in Pasadena Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 As part of the ceremony, costumed dancers performed on the stage, holding aloft vials of raw uranium and also chanting "Allahu akbar."
cromagnum Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 I dont think the iranian president cares about diplomacy, he wants the nuclear energy, and then the bomb....If bush takes out the nuclear facilities with airstrikes or the bunker bomb, would iran retaliate against U.S. troops in iraq?....

However, I think a bigger threat would be what Iranian missiles could do to any US ships in the gulf. The Iranians have the latest Russian anti-ship missiles and this is one of the few areas of military technology where Russia is more advanced than the US.

Regardless, Iran's in a far better position to close the Gulf to ship traffic now than they were the last time they fought a battle against the US.

Iran is the largest perpetrator of state sponsored terrorism out there. You could also expect Iranian sponsored terror attacks on US interests elsewhere, and on the US mainland.
