BEAST MODE BABY! Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 You mean after he threatened to move them to Hartford, CT... http://www.sportslawnews.com/archive/artic.../Patriots1.html 657675 You guys are silly. That's called negotiating.
cromagnum Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 You mean after he threatened to move them to Hartford, CT... http://www.sportslawnews.com/archive/artic.../Patriots1.html 657675 Before the proposed move to hartford, he wanted to build in south boston, the residents banded together and said no....... He then toyed with providence and hartford, but remained in foxborough, with state help for infastructure....... Still better then the taxpayers paying for the stadium.... Another owner would have moved the team out of the region and been handed a stadium with tax payers money.......
NavyBillsFan Posted April 10, 2006 Author Posted April 10, 2006 But...but...but...you mean, NBF's original premise that Bill Gates sits around counting his billions and doesn't use to help others is wrong??? Considering the source...what a surprise... 657604 Ah, here it is, another TBD moron who cant finish reading a post. I never said Gates was a bad guy, but I would not call him a saint now...... As for the "source".... Meet me in person before you make judgements.. oh thats right, you dont go to the games or tailgates...... hiding something?

No one EVER spends their own money in business unless they are envisioning a significant return on their investment and that usually entails a rise in prices. Today New England has the HIGHEST average ticket price in the NFL. Buffalo has the lowest. Let's also not forget that Gillette is also the home of the New England pro soccer team The Revolution, which I'm sure Kraft factored into his investment. Buffalo has no other pro team that could share a new stadium. Kraft probably would have held out until he got taxpayer $$ for the stadium but he most likely figured he could make more money if he paid for most of it himself.

Pizza delivery/Comic book store clerks run in numbers! Great responce though! Lets see how New England sells tickets when they start their rebuild! DC is in the same boat when it comes to tickets. People do not go to their games when they dont win. Out of every team in the NFL having problems, Jacksonville is the team that SHOULD move. Worst parking of all time! Worst area for a stadium! Terrible stadium! Also, ticket sales there are a joke. I was stationed in Mayport, FL for 3 years and had free tickets to every home game. They hand out free tickets to military a dime a dozen. Most of the upper bowl is tarped off by sections! I cant believe that city has a team! If the Bills were run like Jacksonville, they would of been out of Buffalo years ago.

Or life?
KD in CA Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Top US Foundations by giving:http://fdncenter.org/findfunders/topfunder...p100giving.html 657710 $1.3 billion. Gee, what a selfish prick. I see a lot of "evil" corporate giants and even a few classic robber-barons in that list. Know who I don't see? Politicians that B word about the evils of corporate giants and robber-barons. 657741 Or George Soros; but I'm sure he had more important things to spend him money on.

People do not go to their games when they dont win. DC has a waiting list of 100,000 people. I'm pretty sure they don't have trouble selling tickets... With the new stadium, new england will have no problem selling tickets even when the team is 1-15.
