Tipster19 Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Do you think that Buffalo will make an offer to any RFAs? With the success that they have had so far, I would think that if they do they would make a move this week. If so, who would you suggest? Here's is a couple of choices. Carolina's DT Kindal Moorehead. He's tendered for a 5th rder. He may be expendable, they signed UFA DT Maake Kemoeatu from Baltimore on March 13. Here's a link, check out his bio. http://www.panthers.com/team/teamRosterDetails.jsp?id=5825 Baltimore's DT Aubray Franklin. He was drafted by Baltimore in the 2003 draft in the 5th rd (#146). He's tendered for a 5th rder. We would probably not be able to sign him unless we used a major "poison pill". With them losing Kemoeatu, Franklin is slated to be the starter. It's time to take off the gloves and not fight nice anymore. Here's his bio. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/teamRo...ails.jsp?id=204 Oakland's DT Terdell Sands. He's tendered for a 7th rder. Here we could give up our compensatory pick (#248). Here's his bio. http://www.raiders.com/team/teamRosterDetails.jsp?id=9486 I listed three choices and that's my order of preference. Of course I'm not suggesting that we use both of our 5th rders on DTs, only if we can't obtain Moorehead then I would tender an offer for Franklin. If we were able to get either of my first two suggestions I would still consider using our 7th on Sands.
ans4e64 Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 i really like kindal moorehead and i think a 5th is well worth it

His numbers look good but he is on the light side at 285 but he could be a guy off the bench to replace Triplett.
The Dean Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Moorehead is better than Lesshead. 657249 One one of my best friends goes by the handle: Craven Moorhead. You can call him "Craven".
Tipster19 Posted April 10, 2006 Author Posted April 10, 2006 Thanks Pyrate, I didn't realize that. Tendering an offer to Sands was only a suggestion if he were deemed a valid prospect. We do have another 7th rd pick, if that were the case, that we could use. I think Moorehead is the one that we could really use though.
Blue Chipper Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 We could use Moorehead. 657242 amen to that brother. It seems to go away once you get married.
clumping platelets Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 We could use Moorehead. 657242 LOL
frogger Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Moorehead would be ideal in a 3-4, if anyone shoud offer him a contract it would be Pitt. Sands looks the part. I don't think our problems will be fixed via RFAs, even slightly.

apuszczalowski Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 So what happens if they do not sign offer sheets by the 21st? Do they get the offer from their original club and have to play for that amount, or do they become FA's?
I Forgot My Last Username Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Ha ha! The dude's name is "Terdell". That's priceless.
Tipster19 Posted April 10, 2006 Author Posted April 10, 2006 Well, Oakland just re-signed Sands today. Looks like we are down to two valid options. It seems that teams are making a push on re-signing their own players this week. If we don't make a move by Friday, then you can expect us to look towards the draft and the June 1st cuts to round out this year's roster.
John from Riverside Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Just sign Grady Jackson and be done with it.....
RayFinkle Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Carolina's DT Kindal Moorehead. He's tendered for a 5th rder. He may be expendable, they signed UFA DT Maake Kemoeatu from Baltimore on March 13. It's not like they have an extra wide body floating around now. Moorehead isn't going anywhere except to Panthers training camp.
Tipster19 Posted April 10, 2006 Author Posted April 10, 2006 Jackson failed his physical, who wants that fat tub of goo. No more old guys, we were doing so good with the youth movement and now we sign a one eyed WR who is starting to get up there in age. Give me the draft!
