DeLuca1967 Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 Simple math. If the 575,248 fans who bought tickets in 2005 paid $25 more per ticket? That would be $14,381,400.00 in additional revenue for the Bills. No need to waste additional tax dollars. If you want to keep the Bills pay the extra $25.

Now how do you suggest making up the rest of the $110 million or so that the large market teams have over the Bills, smart guy? PTR

For people who go in pairs, it's an extra $400, and whole families would have to pay even more. Not exactly chump change.

He just wants to NOT lose the $35M or so he makes off the team.

jwatts Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 That would work except for one small thing everyone forgot, 60% of that $14,381,400.00 or $8,628,840 would go to the players as part of the new CBA.

If Wilson had hired some decent coaches and GMs then he wouldn't be in as much of a mess.

Just ask meazza21 how many boxes of girl scout cookies he can buy with that.
apuszczalowski Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 If Wilson had hired some decent coaches and GMs then he wouldn't be in as much of a mess. 656895 Really??? So if the Bills spent more to get supposedly "Better" (cause since we haven't seen what the current coaches/GM have put together, they must suck) coaches and GM's the new CBA would not include a bunch of qualifiers put in to take teams out revenue sharing and hold down the small market teams. Damn it Ralph, you keep screwing us over! This is not a problem with fans not paying enough to see this team, Its about the team not being able to break even under the new CBA because of these qualifiers they have added like - A new owner will not be able to collect revenue sharing after buying a team - The additions of items being included now as revenue (like new stadiums) which gets added to the cap since a percentage of all revenue go to the players.

Now how do you suggest making up the rest of the $110 million or so that the large market teams have over the Bills, smart guy? PTR 656487 Simple. Raise the prices of everything across the board. Like a previous post said. More for parking. More for Beer. More for food. More for Jersey's. It's not the job of the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins to raise the revenues of the Bills. That's un-American and goes against everything a free market economy is all about. If the Bills do not make enough revenue then it's up to them to be smarter with their money (ala the Sabres) and maximize their revenue streams (ala the Sabres). It's not the WNY tax payers job and it's not the job of other teams. 30 of 32 owners found no problem with the CBA. It's seems that the CBA is a diversion away from the real problem. WNY just does not have the corporate dollar to substain an NFL franchise in the 'New NFL'.
