3rd Annual "Dinner's On Me, Smartass" Contest

Hey Keg...are you suggesting that Jauron has a cardboard cutout nudie of Ralph...and each time the team wins, he removes an article of clothing? Am I remembering the movie correctly?

I just threw up in my mouth :(

Though not eligible without proving you've been a TBD member since 1/1/06, Bob Matthews of the Rochester D&C...you're officially on the record predicting the Bills go 4-12 next year with wins against the Jets, Bulldogs, Mahi Mahis and Thumbtacks.

Hey Bob...it's one thing for fans to prognasticate what our record will be at this juncture, but a sports journalist???

(April 8, 2006) — It's time for our annual pre-NFL draft analysis of the Buffalo Bills schedule and early-bird prediction for the 2006 season:

Sept. 19 at New England — No comment necessary. 0-1.

Sept. 17 at Miami — The Dolphins finished last season with six straight wins and have improved significantly in the off-season. 0-2.

Sept. 24 host New York Jets — A nice gift from the schedule maker for the home opener. The Jets are one of the few teams that look worse on paper than the Bills. 1-2.

Oct. 1 host Minnesota — Quarterback Brad Johnson might not last the season but he figures to have enough zip left to beat the Bills in Week 4. 1-3 (best-case scenario 2-2).

Oct. 8 at Chicago — The Bears defense vs. the Bills offense probably will be a mismatch. 1-4.

Oct. 15 at Detroit — The Bills would have a chance if they faced quarterback Joey Harrington, but the Lions finally saw the light. 1-5 (best-case scenario 3-3).

Oct. 22 host New England — See Sept. 10. 1-6.

Nov. 5 host Green Bay — Brett Favre or no Brett Favre, this is a game the Bills could win. 2-6.

Nov. 12 at Indianapolis — Do you believe in miracles? Not here, not now. 2-7.

Nov. 19 at Houston — The Texans have improved a lot. Have the Bills? At least Eric Moulds can't spill the beans on the secret to Buffalo's offensive success in the recent past. 2-8 (best-case scenario 4-6).

Nov. 26 host Jacksonville — Even bad teams surprise at home on occasion. I'm not counting on this being the time. 2-9 (best-case scenario 5-6).

Dec. 3 host San Diego — Maybe Chargers QB Philip Rivers will be a bust. Maybe RB LaDainian Tomlinson will be nursing an injury. Maybe TE Antonio Gates will shrink a few inches. Maybe it will snow and the Chargers will forget their gloves. Don't count on it. 2-10.

Dec. 10 at New York Jets — The Jets don't figure to win many games but they have to win a few, and being swept by Buffalo would be embarrassing. 2-11 (best-case scenario 6-7).

Dec. 17 host Miami — Here's the potential home upset win. 3-11 (best-case scenario 7-7).

Dec. 24 host Tennessee — A season-best two-game winning streak. 4-11 (best-case scenario 8-7).

Dec. 31 at Baltimore — The best hope for the Bills is that the Ravens will have clinched a playoff berth and would rest some stars. 4-12 (best-case scenario 9-7).

That will probably be altered slightly. Ralph will start naked and a piece of clothing will be put back on after every win.

I am really scared that i picked them to go 8-8, realistically i think they will blow it 2 of the games and be a dysmal 6-10.

This is rigged.

If by chance you luck up, he has a caveat in the contract requiring you to buy excersise machines, lawn furniture and a really cool blender that shaves ice.

Great! What could be better than getting that stuff so I can make and enjoy that new taste sensation – Retatta Smoothies – and then work off the calories! <_<

There you have it ........ 5 - 11, but it may not be as bad as it sounds. IMHO, we will finally have the answer of who is our QB (I don't know now ..... but I'll have strong feelings as of 31 December ....... we'll know who on this team has the intestinal fortatude to fight for every play, even when the cause seems hopeless .... think of it as culling the herd) I think this is year one of the rebuilding/maturization process of a football team and I officially start the season with low expectations, but high hopes. (hopefully I'm eliminated three times over by Sept 24th) <_<
