THE GASH STATION Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Golisano could buy the BILLS, take them public in an IPO keep 51% controlling interest for himself so as to call the shots in owners meetings etc. Could raise alot of $'s and keep the team in WNY competitvely and profitably. I'm sure there are by laws in the NFL regarding something like this...I'm no expert..just a fan that wants to keep his team in B'LO.
Nick in RaChaCha Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 ease off of the caps for the thread titles! please
The Avenger Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 NFL bars public ownership of a team - Green Bay has been grandfathered. The league would never approve that.
Lurker Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I'm sure there are by laws in the NFL regarding something like this... 654193[/snapback] Yes, there are. No team can be publicly-owned (except for Green Bay, which is grandfathered). Must have a 51% majority owner.
Agua Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Dear God. Can you imagine the beating that stock would take.
